Together with a team, consisting of product design, engineering, and manufacturing professionals, who have worked closely with coffee distributors, Ricardo and Daniela build sustainable products. With the team, they managed to create an innovative solution for coffee waste within months of development.

Kreis Cup is an alternative to disposable paper cups and aims to lighten the environmental burden by reprocessing used coffee grounds. This innovation is made from used coffee grounds and vegetable materials. Therefore, this product is free from petroleum-based plastics or other harmful substances.

This product is reusable, recyclable, and sustainable. It can even last with a long service life, which is years. “We recycle millions of tons of coffee waste that only ends up in the trash. If not managed, the waste will cause many environmental problems, such as the production of greenhouse gases and leachate,” said Ricardo and Daniela.

To make the Kreis Cup, Ricardo and Daniela collect coffee grounds from local coffee shops, restaurants, offices, and hotels.
